    i have recently started playing golf, im only a sophmore in high school and i am looking to progress at the game, can anybody give me any helpful tips? I would really appreciate it, thanks!

    keep ur head down, and (if ur right handed) keep ur left arm straight, weight on the inside of ur right foot when swinging. hope this helped

    Sure...golf is all about relaxing and staying calm while trying to shoot the ball...it depends on ur mood and how u compete with the opponent, if u r calm and gentile dude then u have no problems..and also try practising alot on ur aims and grip and also stay putt and relaxed...

    For the long game get Ben Hogan's "Five Lessons" and remember most of the shots in golf happen within 100 yds. of the hole, so practice this part of the game most of all. If you can chip and putt well you will beat most of the people you play with.

    Despite all the ads out there promising to get you good overnight, understand that there is no shortcut to success, and in golf this rule of thumb is even more applicable. If you're just beginning, learn the game the way Tiger did, begin by focusing primarily on putting, then chipping, and eventually ball striking. Your ability to hit the ball solid and straight will come with time, but the ability to putt the ball well (and shoot good scores) must be nurtured at the beginning levels.
